Mayor Jerry Sanders just unveiled San Diego’s new Reverse 911 emergency notification system. The community notification system will call your phone if there is an emergency where you live.

It’s great that the city had the foresite to have a registration page
for VOIP and cell phone numbers in their reverse 911 system. However
its unfortunate that it doesn’t work:

It would be nice if someone had an explanation of why the page isn’t
working, especially right now, when it is really needed.
