Anchoring the western edge of the Marina District, Park Place has earned an enviable reputation not only for its unique and elegant architecture, but the quality of design and construction. Completed in spring of 2003, Park Place quickly became one of the most desirable buildings downtown.
All 178 units were pre-sold and after a two year wait, residents were excited to begin the moving in process. Four years later, most of those original owners are still living here or enjoying their unit as a second home. The resale has been very low in Park Place which reflects a satisfaction level not found in most other buildings. Is it because of the pride of ownership? Is it the efficient and well run Homeowner’s Association which upholds and enforces the rules that maintain the integrity of the property? Is it the proximity to Pantoja Park and the Brickyard, the neighborhood café with an outdoor courtyard and great breakfast foods? Maybe, it’s the ease of access to the waterfront not available to the other Marina District properties. Maybe it’s the resort like pool and gardens and gorgeous water and city views that make it hard to leave. And, maybe it is the friendliness of the residents and staff that help create an environment easy to call home. It’s probably all of these reasons and more.
I conducted a little informal survey and asked several residents the following question, “What do you love best about Park Place?” Here are some of the answers:
“I love the security that comes with having a full time guard at the
garage and at the front desk - as well as the guest parking that is
available to my guests.” Samara K.
“Park Place is the only non-cubist tower with sexy curves, gorgeous views and not a single unit not worthy of writing home about. In the coming years, one shall see how this building will stand the test of time.” Randy J.
“Park Place has a friendly atmosphere. I feel like the people and staff are part of my family” Don P.
“I love the location. And, I love the feel of the place and its elegant simplicity.”
Dan and Carol
“Park Place offers the very best of city living without being stuck in the middle of the Gaslamp madness. The location is completely peaceful and the buiding is absolutely elegant!” Matt R.

What a great idea to do the building of the month! I love the look of your site as well.
Hi Eric,
Thanks for your feedback. This one was easy. All the owners are very enthusiastic about this property and most are original owners. Very little resale activity at Park Place.
Next month we will feature another building after I get done interviewing some owners.
